Martina’s purpose
Hi, my name is Martina but my friends call me Marti. Mom says I am a 110-pound Great Pyrenees. That means I’m a big doggie. This is my story even though my mom had to type it because my paws are too big for the key board. One thing I have definitely learned is that life, whether you are a doggie or a hoo-mans, is a mysterious thing. And, as we grow bigger through the years, events will happen that are both expected and unexpected. We may not know where we will end up but hopefully, with a little love and encouragement, it will be someplace good. I was found on a cold and snowy winter morning, trapped by a mean old fence from which I could not get free. I was tired, hungry and very cold even though I have a big, natural fur coat. I was afraid no one would see me because my fur matched the surrounding snow banks. I was about ten-months old at the time but I knew there had to be more to life. I felt there was a bigger purpose for my life and so I never gave up. This story is about how I was able to turn my life around from that cold winter day through the help of several hoo-mans friends. They are the best. They showed me love and warmth which is something we all long for. I have since relocated to the sunny south and am repaying the kindness that was shown to me by visiting different places and giving hope and love to those who are now my new friends. I love to visit with them and they love it when I stop by for a visit. Sometimes I even get treats! WOW! I love my new life and have many hoo-mans to thank. The new friends and life I have found is very gratifying (mom helped me with that word) because now I can repay the kindness that once, on a cold winter day, was shown to me. And so, this is my story. Marti and Mom
