How Marti touched our lives In September of 2022, my husband was in the ICU from an apparent heart attack and horrific fall with several broken bones. Naturally while waiting for his surgery to be completed, I was very distraught as I waited alone in the waiting room crying and praying. As I sat there wondering about all the possible outcomes, the waiting room door opened and there stood this huge white dog that instinctively came over and put her head on my lap while looking up at me with those big eyes. At first, through my tears, I thought it was a small horse or some kind of an angel. But it was neither. It was this big white furry dog and being an animal lover, I quickly quit crying as I began to hug that big white ball of fur staring at me. Not long after that the hospital staff came and got me and took me to my husband’s room whose surgery was a success. God had answered my prayers and helped my grief by sending in that big furry dog to comfort me. Everything was such a whirlwind that afterwards I had to call the hospital to find out who that wonderful dog and her owner were to thank them. As my husband has been recovering, he still has health issues and Martina and Jen have been there to comfort us. They have even been there for some of my friends. They always bring comfort and a smile to our faces and my first hunch was right on that horrible day; it was an angel I saw coming through the cold waiting room door.

I love this book. It is truly inspirational. Any reader will find the story to be uplifting and heartfelt! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a story filled with hope and love with each word!

Martina and her handler Jennifer came into our lives in 2023. They have been such an amazing support system for my husband and myself. Martina is very kind and gentle with my husband. When they came into our home, Martina would assist my husband walking down the hall and back to the couch. There is a small half round table in the hallway, every time they would come upon it, Martina would instinctively stand to the side to let him pass through first, then she would return to his side immediatly. Such intuition, no instruction from Jennifer, just helping with the walking up and down our hallway. As my husbands conditon has continued to decline, they also bring Buster. Buster is another very calm, and gentle cat, who lays on my husbands lap and allows him to pet Buster. Martina and Buster bring big smiles, and great joy to my, always an animal lover, husband. Jennifer has been a huge support for myself. She was instrumental in helping find the PERFECT caregiver for what I call the “Evening turn down service” for my husband nightly from 7-8 PM. I am exhausted by the end of the day, and Jennifer’s help locating this caregiver has made all the difference in my life. I cannot thank the whole team enough for their love and support of a very difficult situation. Angels on earth.
